Pupils of general school are those who are in classes from grade 1 to
grade 12 of the general schools.
- Primary pupils are those who are in classes from grade 1 to grade 5;
- Lower secondary pupils are those who are in classes from grade 6 to
grade 9;
- Upper secondary pupils are those who are in classes from grade 10 to
grade 12.
Permanent classrooms are classrooms which are built with sustainable
materials and have a shelf-life of more than 20 years.
Rate of graduates of upper secondary education is measured as the
percentage between the number of graduates of upper secondary school and
total number of pupils taking graduation exam of upper secondary school.
University is an educational institute at the university level. Its training
period lasts from 4 to 6 years depending on the major, applicable to the
graduates of the upper secondary schools or professional secondary schools;
from 2.5 to 4 years for those who graduate professional secondary school
with the same major; from 1 to 2 years for the graduates of the colleges of
the same major.
Lecturers in universities are classroom teachers, head and vice head
of subjects, director and deputy director of faculties in the universities
having university or higher degrees and certificates of pedagogical training,
including full-time lecturers (permanent staff and long-term contracts of one
year and above) and those who are in the probationary period but have more
than 50% of teaching time. Those who take managerial positions such as
dean, vice dean, head, vice head of divisions and staffs of such divisions as
training bureau, financial and planning division, and other related divisions,
are not counted as lecturers in spite of their teaching.
University students are those whose names are listed in university and
attending coursesat university. They are trained by university training level
lasting from 4 to 6 years depending on the major for the graduates of the
upper secondary schools or professional secondary schools; from 2.5 to 4
